Having a jigger around the house

1 oz. and 1/2 oz. stainless steel jigger with rubber grip middle

If you are that kind of guy who loves to drink every so often and into the whole cocktail and mix thing, or if you like to entertain your friends with a good old fashioned drink that's always on the spot you should invest in one of these... jigger.

My fiancée and I accidentally stumbled upon this bright and shiny thing once during our shopping. We enjoy the comfort of making our drinks at home but always miss on the proportions badly especially when we're on our fourth shot for the night. It's really challenging for me because obviously I am not a bar tender and I don't know how to mix drinks. And honestly, we only bought it because it was shiny and well it's different and it makes us cool in our own account.

The thing with this thing though is, it makes everything uniform. You don't really need an über complicated drink to appreciate the usefulness of this tiny piece of equipment, we usually use it to mix Jim Beam and soda, sometimes Jack Daniel's. All you need is a that shiny jigger thing, a glass or glasses for that matter that is of the same size and capacity and just pour your liquor away. As for the soda, it's up to your judgment on how you want the ratio would turn out.

It's a very nifty trick for us, because we like things to be a little more organised and purposeful. It comes in different shapes and sizes in department stores, just look out for it in the home ware or cook ware section with the rest of the can openers and knives and whatnots in the upper floors usually where most adults are; away from the clothes and shoes and giggly stuff that happens on the lower floors.

This little guy I highly recommend to be in your drink arsenal, especially when you are treating some friends at home with your spirit mixing skills, (which google can provide you), kinda makes you look more of a pro, I think. Well, I'm no pro to drink mixing, but this thing, works wonders for me.
